This is a sampling of both spring and fall mini-sessions in Grand Rapids, MI and Rockford, MI.
It was a good year for mini-sessions. I adore seeing so many of the same families repeatedly over the years, and also meeting new ones.
I also love the hilarity that often ensues when kids are free to be themselves during a photo session. Each family always ends up with nicely posed, smiling images but also many outtakes of their kids being GOOFY (or thoughtful, affectionate, or adventurous). I love these natural, in-between-moment shots every bit as much, and possibly more than, the smiley framable ones.
