I love this family’s funk and fashion. They’re so delightful, with creativity and nurture pouring out of them. I always feel right at home amongst them, and their steady life is grounding and peaceful. These are some of the reasons why I’m so glad they have another child. Thought I’ve known them since their Meris was a tiny baby, it was so sweet to meet Alaster and document some of what their life has been like now that he is in it.

Here’s a family that’s very dear to our family. They recently welcomed their first non-fur baby and she is magnificent. The style and intentionality and sense of adventure and purpose that this couple carries is a work of art, and sweet Ezy is going to be one rad human because of their parenting.

I remember when her big brother was very small, which was also the first time I met her mama and daddy. I admire the chill, peaceful atmosphere they create around themselves, and I think what a gift it is to be born into that. Mira was born when here family was living in the space between, having just left their house in the city, knowing it was time to move to something more able to support their growing family’s needs, but still waiting for the Right House to come on the market, they were temporarily staying with Monica’s mom. Two things I love about this:

1) That they’re having this sweet interlude with supportive extended family, and that this part of their story was included in their photojournalism session

2) That they didn’t wait for everything to be totally settled or just right to have photos done.

To be able to find contentment in the midst of change is a real gift, isn’t it?

this sweet little girl and her full head of luscious black hair just slays me. Her older doggie siblings and the new house they’re calling home together makes the future look so bright. She is so wanted, so adored.

Sometimes a newnborn photography session also turns out to be a saying-goodbye-to-our-first-home session. See, while Annah was laboring for Eden, they made an offer on a house that they’d long been waiting to come onto the market. New baby, new home, all in the span of a couple of days. It’s crazy, but it’s their awesome story of a good Father who sees and loves them.
